The idea is that the impostor was the real bad-ass bounty hunter in the original trilogy. That the original one was lame or something.

No reason they can't keep him as the clone of Jango Fett and still make him a badass.

Jango Fett is the most badass character in all the movies. Why wouldn't his son be able to be potrayed as awesome?

Honestly as lame as I thought Attack of the Clones was for the most part, I certainly didn't mind Temeura Morrison as Jango Fett. I'd watch a post-RotJ Boba Fett movie starring him.

That being said, you could also do a movie about someone else taking over for him-- after all, his suit comes from Mandalorian warriors so it's not really inconceivable that somebody else would "become" Fett, even if for no other reason than the intimidation and status factor.

Of course, if you were basing the continuity on the original version of Empire, it would also explain why his voice is different

I love Jango, he's my favorite of all the prequel villains. I don't think Boba being connected to him takes away from his cool factor in any way, it's a shame the people in charge of the franchise right now don't seem to agree.

I don't remember much whining from him. But either way, he's just a kid. Most people are pretty different as kids compared to how they are later in life, I would think.

True, in AotC he was just kind of annoying. Not blaming the kid but I winced every time he opened his mouth. He was even more annoying in Clone Wars. He was one of the only characters I disliked even more after watching the whole run.
