If it has a price sticker on top right you might get a smudge that is irremovable, usually goo gone works on everything including lenticulars but it has failed me this time. Might have to go back to the store and nab another slipcover.

No price sticker, but there are VUDUCand RottenTomatoes stickers, which I'd like to keep in some form

I went to another 4 Best Buys after work tonight in Orange County, CA. Shelves were amazingly empty or near empty of every version. 2 stores claimed they had not received a single steelbook today. I decided to grab an Anthology copy just because I only saw 4 total copies in 4 stores tonight. But I am hoping to see this precious steelbook sometime later this week. It's amusing to see what can of hysteria can surround something so silly as a blu-ray but on the other hand it's the hunt/challenge that is fun. Tomorrow the hunt continues.

Both came off very easy for me, because of the annoying smudge on mine I moved the Rotten Tomatoes sticker over top of it. Doesn't look as bad.

Finding a copy of this took some effort today. I first went to my local Best Buy around 4:00 PM and saw another guy wandering around the new releases section looking for it as well. All of the 2D and 3D Blu-rays were sold out, as well as the DVDs. There was one copy left of the Anthology set, but I've got the other three already so I wasn't going to purchase that. The other guy asked an employee whether or not they had any more copies left in stock, and she told him that they were all gone and had just ordered some more.

So, as a result, I drove over to Target to see if they had any copies. As I walked in I saw a lot of empty slots, which prepared me to be disappointed yet again. Once I got closer I noticed there was one last copy available of the 2D Blu-ray, so I grabbed it immediately. There was one copy left of the 3D Blu-ray, and two copies of the Anthology set. Everything else was gone. You'd think this movie was a box office smash like Jurassic World or The Avengers with the way all of these Blu-rays were selling out on the first day. I couldn't believe it.

Wow....what a lovely, lovely blu ray. Watched the 3d and I thought it was pretty darn good. Saw it in 2d in theater and I saw so much more detail on the blu ray. The sound quality on this is intense. Best blu of the year so far.

I had the same experience at my Best Buy today, after 30 minutes of them looking and calling I finally told them to forget it. The employee that was "helping" was even chewing gum and kept popping bubbles very loudly, not very professional. I'm pretty upset about the whole thing, because like you guys I preordered to make sure I had a copy.

Default Sold Best Buy preorder update

So, I called and complained to Best Buy corporate about the store selling my preorder I made on August 11. I was pretty livid. The lady took down all of my details and said she was going to investigate. She called back and told me exactly the same thing that the store sold my preorder...but she offered me a $50 gift card to try and win me back over. I'm disappointed I didn't get what I ordered...but I can't complain about basically getting an extra $30 bucks out of this.

I'm amazed to hear all the steelbooks were gone for everybody before the store barely opened- I went to Best Buy in Southern California around 5PM and there were around three steelbooks just sitting there with a mountain of regular copies. I just got the 2D version and left them for someone else since I don't really need it.

I did pick up an extra Target exclusive with comic book, which I decided not to open. Will this have any kind of "rarity" or resale value later on or is it a waste to hold onto? The comic that doesn't fit inside the case with the overlarge slip (plus $3 extra) looks kinda cheesy imo.

Doubt it will have any value, especially since the comic is available separately and actually contains four issues all together, whereas (I believe) this Target version only includes two issues.

Man, movie was even better the second-go. Great ride.

I remember the nighttime stuff being a LOT more blue in the theater than it was on my pro-calibrated Toshiba though. I guess that could be faulty memory.

Wow, sorry so many people are having bad experiences with Best Buy over the steelbook.

I preordered mine to be shipped directly to me and received it today in great shape. They packed it in their usual cardboard mailer, but this was the first time they also put pieces of cardboard on the front and back of the steelbook to give it more protection. That was a nice touch.

Plus, I stopped by my local Best Buy before work (between 11 and 11:30am) and picked up a copy of the 3D version using a $5 Rewards certificate. So now I have two nice-looking covers for this film. I was going to move the 3D disc into the steelbook and just display that one only, but I like the lenticular cover a lot too, so I'm displaying them both.

Looking forward to the special features and being able to revisit this in 3D!

It's not just you. I remember the night scene being much darker when I saw it in theaters both times. The blu has a more "silvery" look to me. Personally, I like the silvery look a lot more.

I haven't watched the extras yet but I will today. I picked up on a few things I had missed when I saw this in theaters and heard one thing I never had when I watched a review on YouTube the day before yesterday, are Immortan Joe, the Bullet Farmer, and the People Eater supposed to be brothers? I just thought they were three guys who worked together for a common goal but Angry Joe mentioned that in his video review.

I just got the regular two disc blu-ray but after seeing all these steelbooks with the cool cover I'm kinda jealous!

I haven't watched my copy yet, but the screenshots for both versions are just as blue as I remember it being in theaters. Did yours look like this?

If it was released as a steelbook, people here would gush. Loved seeing the film in the theatre. 30 years ago!

It may just have been the settings on my TV but that looks about how I remember it in theaters. I don't remember the movie looking as Orange as it did either. Probably just the way I have my TV adjusted.

Why is the Anthology still listed as a pre-order on Amazon?!
