There's a lot of breast milk in this movie.

Also what's the significance of the crazy half-life boys and their blood transfusions or donations or whatever?

What exactly are they using that blood for?

I missed the part where they provided any explanation for that.
I don't mean to sound patronising but can you not figure the answers to these questions out yourself from just watching the movie? I mean it's all there in the movie, the answers people are giving you are from the movie.

What is with the metallic, echo-y nature of the sound of some of the dialogue in this movie? Should I assume that was intentional?

No, I guess I'm just not smart enough to crack the profound intellectual code of an art film like Mad Max Fury Road.

...from now on I'll stick to bubble-gum stuff from my Criterion collection.

I did as well. And to be honest, that is really saying something. I RARELY watch the features . . . hey really don't appeal to me. They really did on this film though. It was awesome to see them building the vehicles and that they were REAL. It was mind-blowing.

To give you an idea how disinterested I am in special features: The last one I watched was the "History vs Hollywood" on Tora! Tora! Tora! when the digibook came out. The last before that was the History Channel documentary on the Special Edition DVD of Blackhawk Down.

Features are good? I usually only watch them on older films when there is a big retrospective documentary. I'll check these out if they're good though.

Speaking of features, the one time where I actually do care about the still galleries there's none, or trailers. Would have loved to see all the vehicles and background characters.

Maybe there will be a Deluxe Edition released in the near future with all that stuff on it.

I hate it when they don't include trailers. The trailers for Mad Max FR were awesome!

I'd be all for a Diamond Luxe edition for this one. The features are pretty weak for a film this big and that this much attention. Hell, it's still getting attention now.

Yes, I watched them yesterday and thought they were fairly good. I think the "Maximum Fury" feature is the most worthwhile one; it's about 30 minutes and they talk about all the real stunts, practical effects, and the story-boarding process. There is a lot of great behind-the-scenes footage with a lot of incredible-looking stunts. The "Fury on Four Wheels" featurette is cool too, showing how they built all the cars.

The rest is okay, but nothing I'd want to rewatch. The cast interviews are okay, and the deleted scenes are very short and pointless (although there is nudity, yay). The "Crash and Smash" thing is just a montage with music and no dialogue, but I think it's cooler than s&^t, and I could see myself replaying that for a quick thrill.

Do you mean Immortan Joe? I do think his voice was intentionally changed. I can't think of any others.

I agree. I couldn't care less about special features but I would like the trailers. I still have the 2nd trailer for Max bookmarked.

Rewatched beyond thunderdome again after a long stretch and realized it's not that bad. It doesn't deserve all the hate as its a worthy entry into the series. Thunderdome is a decent little detour.

The first 40 minutes or so of Thunderdome are as good as anything in the entire Mad Max anthology imo.

...but it all starts to fall apart after he leaves Bartertown.

No, I'm primarily thinking of Furiosa in the cab of the War Rig, at times.
