Having the isolated tracks? These aren't bootlegs, are they?

Great news. I really wasn't expecting Golden and Eye to be exactly like the Twilight Time discs.

But they are and they even include the isolated scores ( although this isn't mentioned on the box)
This 4 movie set is available at a very good price and you should be able to sell either of the TT discs for more than this set costs in total and still have change.
Region free with lots of bonuses on Jason and 7th Voyage.

Now that we're down to the last 3 Harryhausen movies yet to be released on bd has anyone heard anything about the possibility of them coming out in 2016?

I'm guessing the best chances are The Valley of Gwangi and The 3 Worlds of Gulliver based solely on the Warner release of The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms and Twilight Time's great success with Ray's movies. The only one I'm not sure of is getting One Million Years, B.C. (the uncut version) on bd from Fox. Maybe TT can get their hands on it?

About a month or 2 ago, TT posted on their Facebook page that they're in a holding pattern regarding One Million Years B.C. ... that there are rights issues that may or may not be resolved.

Thanks.....Did they mention anything about Gulliver? When they say that there are rights issues with movies are those typically based on music rights? I wonder what's the actual hold up with OMYBC.

If they mentioned anything about Gulliver, I haven't read it. And sorry, but I don't know any details about the rights issues either. I wish I knew.

Interesting tidbit I had not heard. Funny how a film can see release in all manner of video tape, laser disc and DVD, and suddenly have release rights issues. I too hope this gets fixed!

That's a real frustration. They have a chance (Fox) to make some money on a bd many people truly want that probably sold decently on vhs, dvd, and laser disc and yet here we are. There's a huge following of dinosaurs, Raquel Welch, and movies made by Ray Harryhausen. Ask Twilight Time how successful they've been selling Ray's movies. This one should be a no-brainer for Fox to lease out.

Now I'm worried about Gwangi. Jerome Moross' soundtrack to TVoG is fantastic but I've heard that his family isn't so hot about the movie. I hope they have already struck a deal with Warner for the bd because of all the Harryhausen movies Gwangi is my favorite.

I don't think company management always makes the right decisions, but I do think, in general, they know their business better than I do, and the decisions they make are, for the most part, the best investment of their resources.

So I think, if they thought they could make more money with these than investing their resources in something else, they would do it.

I really want to see Gwangi on Blu-ray, but I'm not going to presume that they are missing a business opportunity.

I'm sure they're not missing out on a ton of money but I think Harryhausen movies have a decent enough following to be worth while for the studios to release on blu-ray. I really shouldn't complain too much because almost all his movies have been released on bd. I guess the issue is the fans look at certain movies with much more excitement than the studios and believe they need to be released ASAP. I'm certainly in that category when it comes to Ray.

I'm still waiting on One Million Years B.C. If we ever get that one I'd be happy.

One Million Years, B.C. has some rights issues being worked out. If they get resolved a potential late 2016/early 2017 release could happen. Otherwise we may never see it on bd I think this was brought up earlier in this thread.

I will keep my DVD until then. Raquel Welch deserves the HD treatment more than most actresses from that time period.

I grabbed the Harryhausen Collection first thing when I saw it this morning, I was waiting for a price drop never dreaming it would ever be that low. It's no longer listed so must have sold out fast.

If it was the Sony collection that goes for $70 then DAMN, I would have bought that right up. Sucks I missed that. I have the Sinbad film but would like the other two, just not enough to spend $70.
