Just beat Half Life 2 and Episode One

From what everyone is saying from the PS3 port having a lot of issues, is this still worth it?

I always wanted to get it and heard it was well worth it, so are the frame rate issues that big of a deal?

I never had any video problems with mine, there are quite a few load times but that is not a big deal to me. I had a minor audio problem where in certain parts of the game the audio would sound like my speakers were blown...but that did not bother me that much either lol.

I think its totally worth it seeing how its only 30 bucks.

I didnt find the framerate to be a problem, just the loading times.

Yup. The Orange Box is great value for money. The only problem is that I have not been able to get into a game of Team Fortress 2. Maybe its my connection settings thats the problem.

However I'd humbly submit that you would have found it (like most games) even more enjoyable on a PC.

I have never been much of a PC gamer for shooters, idk why I just prefer a console. Only games I ever liked on PC were RTC and Ceaser type games.

i'd have to agree with this. I'm still looking to buy the adapter for the PS3 so you can use your own keyboard/mouse. That will be the day PC gaming is officially dead for me

pc is much better for shooters no doubt. But if I want to relax i'd much rather play on a 50 in plasma on the couch. Specially for single player.

Same here, but having played through HL2 on PC I can say the horrific load times are due to the game engine, and not the PS3 itself. It was equally bad on PC.

Orange Box is fantastic on PS3, and it's probably the most overlooked gem on the system. Team Fortress 2 also is fantastic on PS3. It's unfortunate that EA chose not to provide class updates to the PS3 version of TF2, but it's still a fantastic game regardless of the update. And to get Half Life 2, Episodes 1 & 2, Team Fortress 2, and the brilliant Portal now for just $29.99 is just insane. It's still a must buy package, and the PS3 version is well worth it.
