Ask and you shall receive.

I posted the scan in The Big Heat thread so not to clutter up this one.

I'd like Twilight Time to get a hold of the original cut of Tony Scott's Revenge. Maybe it's a title they could limit to 1,000 copies if they were afraid it wouldn't sell a lot due to the director's cut being available on blu-ray.

My order thru SAE got here quickly as well, ordered Wednesday night and arrived Saturday morning. I must say they do the best job packing with bubble wrap and peanuts.

It has a very nice transfer which appears to be from a recent master.

I agree. My order (from SAE) shipped on Saturday and arrived today (Monday). The box, bubble wrap and styrofoam packaging was really appreciated because it sat outside in a rain/snow mix for over 4 hours after delivery, until I got home to take it inside. The contents were well protected and dry.

Got my copy of La Bambola today. Haven't had a chance to check it out, but it doesn't look like its gonna be a good release based on this site. The review isn't up yet, but the rating is showing up in the search. Only one and a half stars.

Not sure what you are referring to - this?

I can't find the rating you are referring to, but it's possible that the reviewer hates the movie and kept the special features rating low since it only includes an isolated music and effects track and audio commentary. Those two things alone could keep the score down pretty low.

If you start typing in the title into the search bar at the top of the page, matching titles appear in the dropdown. If you hover (don't click!) over Bambola, the movie cover appears with the rating below. It's got 1.5/5 stars, which is low. However, I have learned to ignore those summary ratings because, as you said, they can be lowered significantly just because of a low rating on special features. I always wait to read the full review, so I can see the video and audio ratings, which is what I care most about.

He's referring to the Blu-ray.com review which gave it an overall score of 1.5.

Speaking of which, what's the lowest rating you've seen BD.com give to a movie? I think I've seen a 1/5 before, but I can't remember what it was

A couple I can recall that earned a 0.5:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Jack-.../34750/#Review

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Calig...y/1155/#Review

Giving "Caligula" a 0.5 is a complete joke. It's not even close to being that bad.

I don't tend to notice the "Overall" rating. But when it comes to the "Video" rating, this (unfortunately) takes some beating:

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Famil...Blu-ray/45049/

"Family Plot's god-awful 1080p/AVC-encoded presentation has to be seen to be believed, it's that incredibly bad."

It got a low rating overall, but that seems to be from the reviewer hating/not understanding the film more than anything else. The video got a 3.5 and the audio got a 4, with the comments concerning the video being as follows:

Quote:
La bambola di Satana is presented on Blu-ray with an AVC encoded 1080p transfer in 1.86:1. For a supposedly "lost" film, a great deal of this transfer looks quite good, though there is a bit of inconsistency with regard to both sharpness and grain structure that makes me wonder if this was perhaps cobbled together from different source elements. Contrast, for example, sharpness and grain between screenshots 7 and 11, two of the softer and grainier looking moments, with most of the others accompanying this review for some indication of the differences on display. In moments like those shown in these two screenshots, the grain structure assumes almost a crosshatched appearance at times. While a lot of the rest of the transfer is a good deal sharper and better defined, there's nothing approaching contemporary levels of clarity (not that there should be), and in fact some moments simply look out of focus (see screenshot 16). The palette is refreshingly vivid throughout the presentation, with reds and yellows especially impressive. Some of the dark scenes, especially those in the underground lair beneath the castle, offer only minimal shadow definition.
I don't have this one (nor am I planning to get it - not really my style of movie), but the review certainly doesn't seem to suggest that it's a disaster.

Yeah, I guess the reviewer is not familiar with gialli, or maybe he simply does not care about the film at all. Maybe Mondo Digital or 10K Bullets will give the totally different reviews.

I blind bought it, so will see if I like the film once received.

If we're talking about lowest scores in general, than the crown has to go to Nirvana: Live at the Paramount https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Nirva.../27184/#Review
You may at first notice that one of the ratings on the side is missing.
[Show spoiler]That's because they gave it a 0! I don't know how it can be that bad. Maybe I'll have to check it out someday

The audio is out of sync. That's bad for any release, but for a concert release... makes it pretty much useless. Hence the 0 rating.
