I started that thread, and the conversation about it in this thread, I posted the same info in both threads minutes apart, therefore it's no "older" than the info in this thread

There are hardly any simonsherry posts in this thread though. The majority of his posts are in the dedicated thread. That's my point. Not saying it won't be region free, but people should keep their expectations in check and/or don't order something on the assumption that it will be region free if they don't have the capability to play the discs if they're Region B locked.

The amount of times that Simon has posted in either thread, and the region coding of the disc, wasn't relevant to what I was saying. You said the dedicated Australian thread is "older", I was simply pointing out that it's no older than the conversation and info about the Australian release in this thread

"Coincidence?" I don't see how it possibly could have been coincidence that he posted the following here and ignored every question about region coding while answering others.

There's also the standard edition up on their site as well.

This is currently listed on DeepDiscount's site for $15.40, and they're running a 15% off sale too. Not sure if this is something new, but they seem to have a number of Australian imports as well.

I know they've sold UK imports through their site and their Amazon Marketplace accounts in the past.

Pre-ordered!

I imagine these would be region free else DD wouldn't bother with them? So I guess that answers the question.

Since it has shipped I'm sure some helpful Aussie somewhere will set their region-free player to A and see what happens soon enough. If somehow no one ever does then one of us who ordered it in the US can test it when it arrives.

When I receive it, if someone else hasn't confirmed it already, I will, like I always do when people ask about the specs for Australian releases, and other discs that I own.

What is the code for the 15% off? I don't see it on the site and I didn't get an email for it as I normally do....

Uh, if you go to the website it's plastered all over the front page.

If you look at their website for imports, some are marked Region A and some are marked Region B.

Damn, I should've thought of that. Even though JB Hi-Fi already shipped my copy, I likely would've received the Amazon US order before the Aussie one. Are Australian releases typically sold on Amazon US?

Thanks for the heads up about the Aus release being sold through DD! It's rare that they offer coupon codes that actually work site-wide anymore, so I had to jump on the deal. I threw the Aussie Happy Birthday To Me in my order too. Now, the question is do I finally trade in my NOTLD90 Columbia DVD? Think I'll wait until I see this new Blu-ray (or at least some reviews) first; just in case.

They're probably going by the B on the back. Wait till a board member actually puts it to the test.
Something to remember, not all players are able to play the discs with the workarounds. My 7 year old player played about 60% of the B locked discs I bought. My new, multi region player- 0! Not even the Arrow titles. Go figure
