Ten bucks for the TT time, even used, isn't going to happen anytime soon.
You're better off importing.

"Christine" has been widely available worldwide for a little under a year now and the TT edition still sells for around $40 on eBay. $10 for NotLD 1990 simply isn't going to happen.

Hopefully all these issues mentioned will be a mute point once the reviews come in, i.e better transfer w/out the blue tint and region free.

I picked up the Australian Umbrella release in store a few hours ago. I quickly checked the disc a short while ago, I can confirm that the disc is region free, and isn't blue.

It was confirmed weeks ago as the same exact release they issued before, so you can look up specs for that and it's the same.

It's been a while since I've been on these forums, but can someone give me a rundown of the Australian release. I don't know how many pages back I have to go...

Here's a few questions I have...

1) Is it a limited edition? If so, to how many?

2) If I order it from Amazon.ca, am I getting the LE?
https://www.amazon.ca/Night-Living-D...ng+dead+import

3) Does it have the correct colour for the opening of the movie?

4) What are the special features?

Any help is appreciated!

1) The limited edition is available only from JB Hi-Fi. There's only 2000 available and they appear to be going fast now, especially with the word of being Region Free.

2) That Amazon link is only for the 1990 version and it is not bundled with the original.

3) Yes. There's no blue filter anymore.

4) Special Features for Remake:
Audio Commentary with Tom Savini
The Dead Walk Featurette
Behind-The-Scenes Featurette
Tom Savini Interview (All-New)
John Vulich & Everrett Burrell Interview (All-New)
Patricia Tallman Interview (All-New)

Special Features for Original:
Reflections On The Living Dead - An exclusive documentary on the making of Night of the Living Dead, featuring interviews with Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper and Sam Raimi.
TV Shot
Theatrical Trailer

Awesome! Thanks so much for breaking this all down for me!
Does the single disc set include all of the special features for the remake?

1. Yes and no, depends on what version you're talking about. The 2 pack with both Romero and Savini's versions is a limited edition of 2300 units, but if you just want NotLD 1990 it's standalone release is not limited.

2. That link goes to the standalone, so it's not a LE.

I briefly checked out the main feature earlier. There was quite a bit of specs of dirt and damage in the small section I watched. On the other hand, the bitrate was quite high, it was fluctuating between 30 and 40 Mbps.

Do all the extras play fine on a Region A player as well? I see some of them are not HD, which sometimes causes issues.
