If your receiver has HDMI, then you will Place the Blu-ray player first in the chain...then go to the receiver (via HDMI) then your main out will go to your new TV (via HDMI)
If you don NOT have a receiver that is ready for this setup, I would recommend using the optical (digital toslink) cable for audio (Blu out to Receiver in.) and then the HDMI (just for video) From the Blu-ray player to the input of the tv. In this situation, you may also want to run an extra set of audio cables to the TV from the Blu-ray player so that you can have sound out of your TV if it is late or you have another reason for not using the receiver.
