I thought Indy was great but I wish it had more "omph" in the LFE department in some action scenes. Transformers was reference all the way.

Come on folks! Listen to the experts like Terrence who know what they are talking about and put an end to all this folklore about DTS-HD MA and DD TrueHD and one being superior to the other. Last edited by Yeha-Noha; 10-21-2008 at 05:45 PM. |

And just for the record, the DTS-HD MA 7.1 mix for La Traviata recently released by Art Haus is deplorable. The vocals especially Angela Gheorghiu (as Violetta) just overpower the orchestra. I actually have an older DVD release of La Traviata on lossy DTS 5.1 that sounds superior (because of better mixing) than this DTS-HD MA 7.1 release. The balance between the orchestra and the vocals is perfect on that DVD. I had great expectations for the DTS-HD MA 7.1 release, but what a let down. I returned it for a refund the day after I received it.
Edited PS: BTW The DVD release that I enjoy most is the Los Angeles Opera's release with Renée Fleming as Violetta and directed by Marta Domingo. I hope someday Decca releases this as DTS-HD MA 5.1. ![]() Last edited by Yeha-Noha; 10-21-2008 at 06:17 PM. |
