Yours are really great also! I love your screenshots, what type of camera did you use? I just bought a Rebel XSi but I'm pretty newb at this!

It isn't a DSLR, but it does a great job. My next camera will hopefully be a nice DSLR, just wasn't in the budget this time around.

Jason R...I'm serious dude Nice set-up!...But you will fry that 350 with that microwave-oven-of-a-cable-box on top of it! You should really move it...

Trust me, the DVR vents out of the top. It gets hot on the top every once in a while, but not on the bottom. If they were switched around, then I would worry. My S300 was there and now the S350 is there. I have checked the temperature after a long day of Blu-Ray and DVR watching, and it was okay.

Can't be any worse than people that have components in the same CABINET as an Onkyo 805.

That is a nice set up. I want to get rid of my Bose Acoustimass 10 Series III system and upgrade to something nicer. I am thinking to start off with all bookshelves for both front and back and eventually get floor standing speakers for the fronts. Since I am also upgrading my home theater receiver, I'll have a 7 channel system and can just use the bookshelves I had in the front and my side two speakers. This will take some time though, have a couple other things I need to buy before I do this.

What type of budget were you thinking for the bookshelfs???? Your "Upgrade-in-steps" approach is definitely the right one to take too.....

Also, just because it's a tower, doesn't make it better than a bookshelf of equal price......

Bye the way, I have an 805, and After a long day of blu's mine runs BARELY luke warm to the touch? (In the back that is).... I have heard people say they run warm but mine is usually cool on the top and sides? hmmmmmmm?

I know they are more, but you should really stay with the RTi A Series center speakers. They use the same tweeters and will give you a more uniform front sound stage.

This is called timbre-matching. It refers to is the "sound" of each speaker. You want your surround system to have a cohesive and consistent sound. Timbre matching refers to matching the sound of each speaker. That's why it is wise to buy all your speakers from the same manufacturer and same series, providing they have been matched together as a system.

For example, you don't want your front left and right speakers to have a distinct sound, and then the center channel to sound different. Vocals, as they move from one speaker to another as the actor moves across the stage would sound very odd as a result.

No, I know exactly what you mean. That makes perfect sense. Thanks for help. I prob won't upgrade anything until next year though, still a few things I need to buy before I think about upgrading my surround sound system. Thankfully I can get deals through a friend and thankfully these prices are for pairs, not individual.

I will also hide al the cables in the wall
