They re-released Superman returns.

This fact, to me, throws all arguments out the window and poses all new questions.

They must be aware of the issue and they must want their movies to be the best they can possibly be. There are production and duplication timelines and shortages to consider at this (still) early stage of the game, so maybe they just want to get their stuff out there.

We'll see what happens, but I don't buy the "it's good enough - ship it!!" theories at all.
