They should set the new movies like 2-3 years apart. Continually doing 10 years is a bit much.

I guess they figured they did the 60's, 70's and 80's. Now time for the 90's and they will stick in that era for a while im sure. It can be 1990. So it's only 7 years later.

Here's what we know:
  • March 3, 2017 -- Logan
  • October 6, 2017 -- TBA
  • March 2, 2018 -- TBA
  • June 29, 2018 -- TBA

Possible TBA films: Deadpool 2, The New Mutants, X-Force, X-Men 7, Gambit, Fantastic Four 2

I noted the date on the article was for the 5th, but then I noticed it had 2 year old comments. It's highly doubtful Fant4stic 2 will be happening, though. The first one had a (reported) low budget for a movie of this type, and only grossed a little over the production budget's total. After factoring in the promotion budget and the movie theaters' cut, it's estimated it actually lost $80 million. Plus it had a super low critical reception.

Yeah, looks like they put this together prior to Apocalypse coming out, and they only just updated it with the recent Logan info. They should really revise those comments.

I just watched this for the first time and I quite liked it. IMHO it's the best X-Men film since X-Men and X2. I found it rather fulfilling that the film really has little to do with Apocalypse at all.

The first half of TFA is some of the best footage that Marvel has produced. Beautifully done. The second half rushes through his conflicts with Hydra/Nazis to get him in position for the Avengers, sure, but it doesn't break the movie. I can't imagine anybody calling it the worst of the MCU.

I'm also not getting the Lawrence hate. Critiize her performance if you like, but it's not "diva" behavior to complain about the extensive makeup and try to get that reduced xuring negotiations. The actor who played Nightcrawler in X2 said pretty much the same and stated that he wouldn't want to do another film just because of how mucb of a pain the makeup was. I don't recall anybody calling im a diva, and he only played in one film compared to Lawrence's three and counting.

  • The makeup on Red Skull looks terrible.
  • The movie has no substance. As stated above it looks like a rush job for The Avengers. Just like how some of BvS was unnecessary and just in there to set up the Justice League (introductions of Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg), CA TFA had a lot of needless elements too, such as introducing the Tessseract just so it could be the main plot point of The Avengers. Rather than focus on making a good CA movie, their only focus was setting up The Avengers.

I'd have to disagree.

They spend enough time establishing him in Brooklyn trying to join the war and his underdog status. They even establish a relationship w/ Dr. Erkskene, which ive never seen in the comics. Also giving him a Spider-Man-esque mantra about the heart/man inside and the formula.

They could have skipped the whole original costume warbonds tour performances and gotten him right into the war. Yet we see him struggle a bit while he's still a successful example of the serum.
They establish Hydra, Skull, and a little of Zola.

Steve gets a love story(Agent Carter was given enough to develop her own tv show), Bucky, and the "Howlin' Commandoes".

The Avengers isnt even a factor until Fury shows up and even then theyre not mentioned.

Compared to Thor 2 and Iron Man 2 , TFA is quite slow....IMO.

There's no real action until he rescues the POWs.
The Hydra sabotage/barefoot submarine chase is just a taster.
Thor's first hour has him fighting a legion of frost giants. Even IM2 has the classic briefcase armor confrontation in Monaco in the first hour if im not mistaken.

After IM1 each film had Infinity War tie-ins to establish the larger threat,.
I dont know why u find the Tesseract and what it did for the story in giving Red Skull motivation & power problematic.

You should be comparing Cap with Iron Man and Thor, not IM2 and TDW.
Sequels always go bigger and faster.

Clearly, Scarface32 has never seen the Red Skull makeup from the 1990 Captain America movie.

No, it's all makeup, with the only CG effect being the removal of his nose.
