Let's just hope Rubinstein pulls his head out of his ass fast enough for a 40th anniversary edition.

Edit: Is the Region B lock confirmed?

$50+ down the toilet. I think I'll finally learn a lesson from this. WAIT FOR REVIEWS will be my mantra from now on, especially with regional Euro releases like this.

Yeah as soon as I read only the Argento cut was a remaster I decided to wait for reviews. I'd sell this puppy now while there is still hype around it and people ignorant to caps-a-holic.

So I managed to pick up the below version of Dawn for $5 and change used at FYE. Pumped! Can't find a review for this specific Australian release from 2010. Is it the same as another release where I could see the specs and compare it to over versions that have been put out?

I'm still excited to get this set, ha ha. I'm really looking forward to seeing the open matte disc, and the Zombi discs (Blu now and UHD someday), and I only got the TC Happinet disc so also for picking up the EC. don't regret spending the money. That said this should've been a home run on at least Zombi and it clearly hasn't been which sucks. I think my preferences for a film-like look and texture has something to do with my thoughts/expectations with these.

It's literally got the EXACT same audio/video quality as the now OOP Arrow release.

I'll ask again because I'm not sure whether anyone read my question or not so apologies for double posting:

Does anyone know if the DVD's in the Arrow BD set suffer from PAL speed-up?

I've found a copy for a decent price and I want to make sure the DVD's play at the correct speed.

Well any DVD from the UK is going to be PAL.

I've decided to go with the Anchor Bay BD and the ultimate edition DVD set.

Managed to find both for very good prices online. I'm going to try and sell off my Italian set.

Default Dawn of the Dead Arrow Set: The DVD's have NO Pal speed up!

Even though the DVD discs in the Arrow set are Pal. They are Region 0 and NTSC - Pal conversions, so they are the correct length and do not have any Pal speed-up. But they obviously have the inherent issues you get with NTSC - Pal conversions.

First post by the way - Hello!

Did they have anymore of them?

I purchased this Italian release.

Despite the problems being mentioned here I'll still keep it. The film has a special place in my movie watching experience as it was the first "Hard-Core" horror movie I watched.

However, knowing what we know now, if you have the awesome 4 disc Ultimate Edition Anchor Bay release then wait until a proper remastered set is released. I think the Anchor Bay 4 disc DVD set stands up pretty well. A number of years ago when it was still in print was going really cheap, I got it for $13 at Amazon, but now I've seen it at $50.

Yeah, my brother and I have that 4-disc Ultimate Edition DVD, and it's pretty good. We're perfectly fine with that until a definitive Blu-ray edition comes out. If one ever does.

No wonder I had to change the settings on my TV to get it to look right.
Can you share what settings you changed and to what?

Isn't the theatrical cut on the Arrow set on DVD? I recall that the Arrow set had only one version on BD and the other two were on DVDs.
