I just read at gamespot that Konami is thinking about making this game multiplatform because they dont believe the price cut will be enough. I hope this doesnt happen.

How many 360 or Wii discs do you all think it would take for this game to run on those systems vs. the one BD disc that it's going to run on for the PS3?

True, the ps2 pushed the limit of gaming on dvd, so 360 n wii would be looking at muilti disks for this.

He is not talking about MGS4 here.

He is talking about the MGS series in general, so far it has (almost) always been exclusive to Playstation platforms.

He is simply saying that this might change in the future. Nothing said about MGS4.

Some game sites, are acting as if he said MGS4 wont be exclusive, but this is only to draw readers to there site, and no to mention hype.

According to IGN, Kojima has already said the game would run on the 360, and given the development costs, there's an 80% chance that we'll be seeing a multiplatform announcement at E3 for MGS4.

Announcing that the trailers going to show at the Sony and Konami press conferences + stating that there's a chance they'd port it if enough PS3's haven't sold.

Doesn't sound like they're announcing anything at E3 to me, they'd have kept quiet and let MS make the announcement.

I have followed every MGS4 news I can, and I have never read "Kojima has already said the game would run on the 360".

I did read however, Kojima stating that MGS4 couldnt run on X-box 360. He said this when someone asked him about DMC4 going multiplatform.

And I read, Some game blogger: "Kojima confirmed that the real-time demo could also run on X-box 360", but this quote originates from the year 2005.
I think the IGN article is talking about this quote.

Well, I'm just saying there has to be a reason so many different gaming sites seem to be pointing at MGS4 possibly going multiplatform. Either Microsoft is close to making a deal with Konami, or Sony hasn't "earned" the right to have it stay exclusive yet. From a business standpoint, it makes no sense to not to make it multiplatform, and I'm sure some of the big wigs at Konami have realized this, regardless if Kojima doesn't want that to happen personally. In any case, whether it stays exclusive or not, hopefully Konami will be very clear about some kind of decision at E3.

I hope they don't put it on 360. They did make metal gear 2 on 360 about a year or so after it came out on PS3. That I could live with. I do have a fealing though we will hear it will be on 360 at some point. They are spending a lot of money making this game. They are in this buisness to make money.

This comes as quite a surprise! Konami are usually very protective over their MGS trailers, I see it'll have 5.1 audio too. Hopefully it's been compressed well, I'll be watching this trailer many times over!
