My 2 year old got a hold of our copy of Terabithia. It still played after the hell that disc had to endure.

If I were you, I would insist on getting the refund before you send the disc back. Be sure to send him a copy of the picture showing all of the scratches. If he refuses or doesn't reply within 24 hours, I would file a "Non-Performing Buyer" complaint. There's absolutely no excuse for him selling you a disc in that condition without full disclosure.

Demand your money back first, then ship the disc back to him. If you used paypal, file a complaint with them as well. Most times, the seller will offer to replace the damaged disc if you send it back first. Dont go that route. Tell him if he is going to replace it, to send the replacement, then you send the original back after you get it.

Well, I got my money back for this item. Although I got my money refunded, I am still a little disappointed that they would send me such a disc with so many scratches and expect me to not be bothered by it.
I left neutral feedback, saying that the Blu-ray disc was heavily scratched, but that the seller happily refunded my money. I'm sure they'll be ticked that I left "neutral" feedback, thus highlighting the issue for future posterity. Despite the fact that they refunded my money, and left me positive feedback, I truly felt neutral about it. They wasted my time. I felt it was the most honest representation of my feelings to do the above. |

My suggestion is to take both the discs to Gamestop/EBGames and have them resurface the discs. Or even ask if they can pop them into one of their display PS3's to see if they work. Even if they do work, have them resurfaced.
I purchased 2 XBOX360 games off ebay once and they were sold "AS IS" stating that they did not work. I took them to Gamestop & they re-surfaced them and they worked! They charged me $3 per disc. It's worth it. It would suck to travel back to Korea and they did not work. |
