I remember one of the insiders saying that Jurassic Park needed quite a bit of work and clean up done to it before it could be released in HD...

Well Jurassic Park 4 is pencilled in for a release in 2010 so hopefully by that time they will have done their magic on the previous 3 ready for a Blu release and then release all in a set.
The Jurassic Park movies as some of my all time favourite films and will look amazing on Blu.
It would also be a fitting tribue to Michael Crichton as without him writing the books then we may never have seen the films.

RIP Michael Crichton 1942 - 2008

all though Jp is my all time favorite movie, I'm actually hoping they do not make a 4th, Jp III was terrible and if Jp IV is going to be anything like Indy IV then I hope they burn all the ideas they have now

+1,000,000
I didn't even like the second one. Just watch King Kong and Twister and you have JP2.

It's not a rumor. It's the most recent script.

In September 2004, screenwriter John Sayles was re-writing the script, with the film re-slated for a winter 2005 release. His second draft focused on the new character Nick Harris, who returns to Isla Nublar, the location of the first film, and retrieves Dennis Nedry's can of frozen embryos. He is captured by the Grendel corporation, which now owns InGen, and he is hired to train five genetically modified Deinonychus as mercenaries.

It was good until that last part... How the hell are they going to pull that off? And is speilberg really going to let it happen?

I want JP bad! I bought my first VCR JUST for this movie and I watched it hundreds of times. The second I think is really good up until they bring the dino back to the states. The third, well it sucks donkey dong. Can you imagine though the roar of the T-rex and the T-rex chase in DTS-HDMA or Dolby TruHD!!!???!!!!!!!!

I cant wait to hear the part where they are in the desert and they shoot the bullet into the ground. That rocked my house on a very weak system. It would be DTS HDMA universal Baby!!!!!!!!!

Why do people not like 3? I though 3 was better than 2. No whiney kids to deal with and tons of action and humor.

The main problem was the horrible ending. Other than that, I liked it. It was certainly better than the second one.
