Has anyone heard when the teaser will be released?

Maybe this Tuesday or next.

If I were in charge of a movie trailer being released I wouldn't just pander to film festivals or the industry for that matter, everyone would get the trailer at the same time. If you want to sell the movie then sell it to the people who are going to be buying tickets and putting their butts in the seats.

I'm definitely looking forward to a remake of this. I'll have to sneak in a solo viewing, though, as my girl watched the original 1990 adaptation for the first time a few months ago when I bought the blu and she hated it -- thought it was too campy, cheesy, dated and she laughed out loud in a snide way just about any time Pennywise was on screen. I get it... we're adults now and it's no longer scary, but I still find it very sentimental from my childhood.

Should this even be considered a remake? Since they're not using the TV movies script they're not sourcing the script off the TV movie it's not a remake is it?

It's an adaption of the book, nothing will be related to the 1990 mini series.

I know there's nothing related to the tv version but I see a lot of folks calling the movie a remake so just was curious what folks here thought

I wish it was September already. This is my second most anticipated film of the year after Blade Runner 2049.
