Wasn't the boy mainlining caffeine pills? Besides I thought their technobabble in the film said it didn't matter because once they stayed awake long enough, they'd go into a forced coma.

This right here. They made a Nightmare on Elm Street movie in the day and age of CGI effects and didn't use them at all really. The stuff they could have done with him killing people in unique and crazy ways would have put the cool kills in the original films to shame. They dropped the ball big time with that movie. I liked JEH in the role but the overall movie was a disappointment.

Presumably it's the full trailer as it's been rated and runs at 2:27. There's also word that we'll get the poster tomorrow.

It makes more sense than sticking with the original references to the Universal monsters of the 30s and 40s, doesn't it?

I mean, I know specific bits in the book referenced those specific monster movies but updating those kinds of cultural references seem like a reasonable place to tweak.
