Then what's the point of competition if there's a tie? This is the real world. Both of them have a chance at winning as they do at losing. I think Nicole might win over Reese because it was a far more heavier role and Nicole's performance was brilliant. Still, she has Sarandon and Lange to deal with, and considering the Emmy's love for Ryan Murphy, it's a huge possibility that Nicole may not even win.

We still don't know who would be considered lead or supporting. I imagine Lange and Sarandon will be nominated for lead and HBO could always submit Kidman and Witherspoon as supporting considering it's an ensemble.

The entire cast delivered stellar performances but Nicole Kidman had the kind of character journey and emotionally grueling scenes (even her quieter scenes with the therapist are masterful) that do indeed win awards. Jessica Lange has been working in T.V. for a while now, and the temptation to give an Emmy to a current movie-star like Kidman is, rightly or wrongly, inherently tempting (regardless, I personally believe she deserves to win based on the quality of her performance).
Last but not least, Kidman has the edge in giving that performance in a series that is infinitely superior to Feud. That can play a part as well. |

People Vs OJ was an ensemble and yet they gave out Lead noms, too.

It's weird, because I'd give this show an A, but I really don't think any individual episode was worthy of a rating THAT high. Maybe the finale I suppose. It's just so damn good as a whole. I don't really think there was a standout episode.
Finale was terrific. I was left wanting more though dammit. Please, please let them continue. It's that fu*cking good that I'll be sad if this really is it. ![]() |

I noticed that as well and figure it's detective Quinlan, who suspected there was something the women weren't telling the police about that night while her partner was eager to close the case.Looks likes she's keeping tabs on them.

I liked how it ended, but I think they needed a bit more explanation with how they resolved what went down rather than just expecting you to take for granted "Oh of course, they're all friends now." I'm sure the book explained it better. And I still think they overdid it with all the foreshadowing of the "trivia night murder" with all those ghastly extras going on and on about how rotten the main characters were. Why would they interview people who were not even witness to the crime? That one fat lady they kept showing over and over repulsed me so much I literally lost my appetite while eating and watching the show. Sorry! |

More BLL is probably unlikely, but not totally impossible. They definitely could do more, and I'm sure everyone that watched it will still be interested in these characters whether there's a murder mystery surrounding them or not. |

- An astronaut picture (Pale Blue Dot) - A Peggy Lee biopic - A Wall Street satire (Opening Belle) - The Barbie creator biopic (Barbie and Ruth) - A war movie (Ashley's War) - Two fantasy epic (Pennyroyal's Princess Boot Camp, The Outliers) - A fairy tale (Happily Ever After) - A family comedy (Wish List) - A family drama (Napkin Notes) - A dark comedy (Nice) - Plenty of romantic comedies (The Beard, Pharm Girl, The Engagements, Men Are From Mars) - And a lot of thrillers (Luckiest Girl Alive, Cold, In A Dark, Dark Wood, The Dry, Second Life) She simply can't do a second season. And Nicole has even more movies on her slate, so there's that. Last edited by Poya; 04-07-2017 at 08:22 PM. |

As someone said above, they shouldn't do another season just because they can. It's perfect the way it is. |

The ratings were great which means HBO will definitely work with the cast and crew again. The director has already confirmed there won't be a season 2. And there definitely shouldn't be.

I don't know why you're taking this so seriously. All I'm saying is that more episodes of the show isn't totally out of the question. |
