Well you can persistent while still being nice. Try calling them again and tell them that their answer isn't acceptable for you as a consumer. If they continue to say no, just ask to speak with a supervisor. Keep in mind that you shouldn't start lying to them and need to keep your story straight.

As long as you keeps your facts straight and not give up I'm confident that they'll make you a happy customer.
