I skipped this at the cinema due to the crappy reviews and I wish I hadn't. It's no narrative masterpiece for sure but the images are dazzling and the action sequences are consistently inventive. It was certainly no worse than the majority of popcorn movies, most of which have no merit at all.
Seems like most years there's one big movie that undeservedly gets it in the neck; but then I loved TOMORROWLAND and JOHN CARTER OF MARS too. |
