I am looking to get another PS3 game, but i am not well enough informed on what is out and which ones are good. (PC Games is a Different Story
![]() What are some good Role Playing or 1st/3rd person shooters, that are great buys on the PS3. I am normally a big PC gamer, but i am slowly moving into the releam of PS3 games. Any suggestions on what my next purchase should be? |

Uncharted is a shooter/platform game, think of it as Tomb Raider but way better, it is definitely worth the purchase and it's 40 bucks now at Amazon if I'm not mistaken.
Other FPS/TPS recommended: Resistance 2 Warhawk CoD WaW Farcry 2 Saints Row 2 GTA IV RPGs Fallout 3 Oblivion Eternal Sonata Valkyria Chronicles Disgaea 3 |

You climb and jump along set paths, the environment isn't really set up in a way so that everything's there to be climbed over like a purer platformer. Sometimes you might have two or three options in an area (like in the demo river/log area on the PlayStation Store) but the platforming's intended more as a pace changer than the core challenge. On the ground however there's a lot of opportunity to move around, take better cover.

The full game sets things up a lot nicer entering the temple, learning about Nate and Sully, solving some environmental puzzles then introducing the real danger. Sometimes if you don't care why you're helping the character you're less likely to take an interest and get over the learning how everything works hurdle.
Still a fun demo though. ![]() |

I don't mind at all... I admit, I'm pretty much a first person shooter guy. Cut my teeth on Doom shareware back in the ice age although many 3'rd person shooters are great as well. Sniper Elite... MGS... etc. Fallout 3 certainly changed my view of RPG's that's for sure.

As far as RPGs I haven't played Fallout 3 yet, but I heard that's pretty good, there's a demo of Valkyria and Eternal Sonata on the store, I have Oblivion and it was a pretty good game, you can get the GOTY edition for $30 off Amazon. |
