Craig was from the beginning the most controversial choice to play Bond to begin with, not resembling Fleming's Bond or past 007's in any way shape or form.
Please tell me you're kidding.

QoS had a budget of $225 Million.

So far worldwide it's made over $500 million. I'm fairly sure that MGM doesn't give a flying F**k what it has made in the U.S. and what it has made internationally. Facts are it's made money for them, so they will continue making them.

In fact, worldwide it's just under the numbers for Terminator 2. I don't think that you'd call Terminator 2 a flop. So why the harshness against QoS? Because YOU didn't like it doesn't mean that the REST OF THE PLANET didn't like it either.

As for your {incorrect} assumption {as I'm figuring you're not basing what you're saying on ANY hard numbers at all} that CR did only mediocre business in the 'States {because every movie only strives to make money in the States and none are EVER released internationally} it had a budget of $150 million and it made $167 million. It made it's money back in Theaters alone. Tack onto that anything that it made in DVD/Blu-Ray sales and you've got a winner.

Craig and CR fans came out in droves the first week of release and at first it looked like maybe QoS was going take off, but the reality is that after the first week or so it was over attendance-wise. The numbers have fallen off dramatically ever since.
Must be why it's still in theaters then..............

If there is a Bond 23, look for another reboot and new 007.
Unlikely. Craig is still making them money.
