She says that the error disk is how it was intended to be released. They will not be offering to exchange it for a corrected copy. She says that I'm the only one who ever complained about it.
Says that if I want the correct one, I need to go out and buy it. |

Wow, gotta love customer service these days. I can't buy you're the only one who's ever complained about it. Maybe to her if she's new there, and the issue was fresher years ago, but that's about it. I know it's hard to boycott a major studio (I've been trying to boycott Sony going on a year now, but have broke for a couple titles and sales I couldn't resist), but if I had that call I would be boycotting Fox too!

If the only shoot that is different is the girl being pinned to the wall. I personally think the less gory theatrical version of that shoot has far more punch to it.

This is probably the only Aliens movie after Convenant that I'll never revisit. Too damn dark to see anything, the characters have less substance than cardboard and for once the level of absurd violence actually disgusted me.

If you have a PC BD drive the authoring date of the disc is 5/28/08. The old disc is dated 2/9/2008. Considering the original disc released Apr 15, 2008, I would think most people have the fixed release. ![]() |

I haven't watched this movie since I first bought the bd. Just recently it aired on HBO so I watched a bit. Wow...it looked amazing! I don't know if there's a new scan out there or if my new tv (Z9D) processed it up in some way but the colors popped, the detail was amazing, and the dark levels were incredible. The movie is still meh but I wound up watching the rest of the movie in awe. There was another couple of movies that looked way better on HBO as well in the same manner.

I am in the 2nd week of emails with them. They asked for pics of everything, which I just sent them. Crossing my fingers that they send me a replacement disk. Good news, they are sending me a replacement disc and I got a return authorization and waybill to prove it. Got to send back the defective disc which they are covering the costs for via UPS and then they will send me the corrected disc.
So please contact Fox if you got the old disc. They are replacing it, even if bought almost a decade ago. This is what I call excellent customer service. ![]() I will let you all know when I actually get the corrected replacement disc in hand. ![]() |

So I bought the AVP "Double Feature" BD at Wal-Mart the other day. I remember seeing both AVP movies in one package but they were "unrated". Does the new one have the same unrated movies in it or do I need to buy the older one to get them?
