Saw this a second time yesterday and loved it even more. Also enjoyed the little background blink and you miss it moments like the librarian and alley mural. The former definitely made the scene a lot more creepier.

The only thing that still didn't work for me was Stan's fear.

Yup, and he asks if Bev killed it, before reiterating the superstition that the death of a spider is said to summon rain. I always thought that was a neat bit of foreshadowing.

Having watched some of the bonding videos from the cast, this is one of the most anticipated Blu-rays for me, not only to see the film again, and to see the Director's Cut, but especially for the extras. I want to see all the BTS footage of the Losers and Skarsgard that they'll give. I hope they don't hold out.

Yeah, fingers crossed they go all out on the extras this time. The fact that we're getting an alternate cut (not a reactionary one prompted by negative reviews) is somewhat encouraging.

Freddy Krueger almost had a cameo, and I was thinking he would've been perfect as one of their fears in the 80's, since they used old horror icons in the book. Pennywise already shared some similarities.

Since it was WB who told the Muschiettis that they're releasing a director's cut, I'd think they'd want to go all out on the Blu-ray release-- we're talking a two-disc-type deal with the movie (and commentary) on disc one, and an array of special features on disc two. Maybe that's just me being overly optimistic.

Hopefully, we get a two-disc set. Disc one a BD50 with the theatrical & director's cuts branched, & a commentary, disc two for the extras.
