I don't remember that. The NOES5 poster at the theater was a perfect homage, but could have also been used to establish that one of them was afraid of it, then actually brought him in to play as a surprise later. It's an unnecessary pipe dream though. I like what they had in the film as it is.

Edit: Oh, yeah I remember the claw hand. It's in the trailers.

I mean Pennywise's hand looked like a claw. Not the actual Freddy claw itself.

This may be an absolutely ridiculous question, but does anyone here think the film has ANY potential whatsoever for an Oscar nomination? Maybe not for the cast or Muschietti, but for art design or costume design or something? I know it's stupid to equate a financially successful and well-liked movie to automatic Oscar bait, but let's be honest here, it's not..

Man the thread for the 90's miniseries is really adamant that the old cast of kids is so much better than this cast. For god's sake they're trying to say old Stanley had more screen prescense than the new one. :lmao:

The miniseries is a classic in its own way of course, but I have no problems calling the new film very much superior in every way, and we don't even have Chapter two in the bag yet.

I still love the original too, but come on....Mike, Stan and Ritchie were so underdeveloped in that film....the kids anyways. Mike and Ritchie were much more fleshed out as adults.
