The Terminator Cover Issue - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys,

I just got this from Amazon and the cover does not align properly on the spine of the case. I wonder if they actually changed the cover type from the original?

Here is a pic to show what I mean:

Oh and I can't adjust it, it already takes up all the room on the front and back.

Has anyone else seen this issue?

I don't own this movie myself, but my friend had trouble with it too and he decided the crop a little bit off the back part so now it fits and the title shows nicely in the spine. Probably some printing issue.

Usualy a printing issue, a bunch of them will be done that way, it's annoying however. I had a few DVD like this. Like the post said before, you can remove a bit from the back and that will get it allign back properly

Yes, they changed the case type.
Terminator war originally released in cases Sony and Disney used. It appears that Sony simply put the covers in "Elite" cases an these have less space for the cover art (but a broader spine), that is why your copy looks so weird. Only thing you could do is crop the back of the cover a bit

even though they many consider this a minor issue (which it may or may not be to you) you can contact amazon if you dont mind sending back your copy for a replacement. im guessing its not that big of a deal to you though, in which case the other option would be contacting the studio with the issue and see if they'll send you a new cover. it's worked for some people. good luck

Before you go ahead an mutilate your insert, I would switch cases with another title in your collection. There are slight variations between the various manufactured cases and those inserts were probably produced before they switched vendors for the cases. I have had to do this with a few titles and I am happy to say I can read all the spines fine without having to clip off part of the insert. If all else fails, you might want to download a scanned cover from one of the many free websites out there like freecovers.net and cdcovers.cc. Good luck.

I didn't know there were different sizes in BD cases, I mean I know about slimcases and the big ones used for multi disc boxes but yeah not with the "normal" sized ones.

Which type of Blu-ray case is it in? The slightly fatter cases Warner uses with the painted on logo? Or the one's Sony is known for with the engraved logo?

Its one of the fatter Warner Elite cases.

That might be the problem. The cover art might of been made for the engraved logo one's but put in the Warner Elite type.

Mine looks identical to the OP's, and it's in the usual sony case... it looks terrible.

I even tried switching it to another case but no luck.
