Maybe the secret is to put REALLLLLLY shitty cover art on it, then no-one will buy it. I presume you still have copies of Kwai 4K in stock?

I think Kwai has actually sold more copies in my store likely due to them coming with slips.

Punked a few friends: Popped in the MI4K 1080p, kicked my player into "Fine" mode, goosed the saturation and turned on Dynamic Contrast--at lowest setting--and bid them, "...Marvel at Copp's Bram's Drac in glorious 4K UHD." To a man and woman, they bought it and were rhapsodic. Tipping my hand, they were all gobsmacked, especially when I popped in the actual UHD and they found--again, to a man and woman...and videophiles all--they preferred the HD SDR.

Trick or treat! Or should I save this for April Fool's? Not that this isn't exactly the kind of thing I'd be trying if I had the hardware...

That MI4K blu-ray is real looker, though.

Its filmic looking , yes, but I didnt think it was THAT much of an upgrade over the blu-ray. I dunno - I think some(not all) of these UHD releases get reviewed a *tad* more glowingly than they actually end up being. Its an upgrade, but nowhere near the upgrade was from DVD >> blu-ray. IMO.

Still a solid movie and all of that. I just didnt find the UHD version to be some life-changing upgrade.

I'd keep an eye on Amazon. Sony titles seem to be randomly dipping in price on select days lately and I wouldn't be surprised if Dracula would be the next to drop. No guarantees, but if you're patient you may be rewarded between now and Black Friday.

Someone said this went out of stock on Amazon after release, so if stock is a factor this one may not get dangled out for $12.

Also, Walmart updates it's UHD area frequently. After October, Dracula may be gone.

Yeah but those who want a slip should get it ASAP cuz I doubt Amazon will have it by the time it goes on sale.

Out of curiosity, is there any booklet included with the UHD that include pages from the Supreme Series digibook?

There's nothing inside the UHD but a Digital Code and discs.

AFAIK every single catalog title Sony has released over the last few months has dropped like a rock within a few weeks of release. RIVER KWAI is already under $15, and I'll be happy to wait for DRACULA to do the same. Whether it's now or by Black Friday, I'm in no rush, and I could care less about a slipcover (or the endless obsession with them on this board lol).

As I can't play UHDs yet, all I can really discuss is the packaging.

I'm guessing I'm not alone here. I picked this up to future proof my collection and to get the slipcover while it is still available.

Saw this last week at the local Best Buy I usually go to. Didn't buy it yet but there were around 8 on the display. Wonder which OST CD I should buy for it.

Will be buying eventually, of course. (No one should care about that at all.)

Received my copy from Amazon today with the slipcover. I didn't really care either way whether I got it or not, but I must admit is IS pretty nice.

I'm wondering if they'll fix the text on the back of the UK slip before release saying 4k resolution of HD. I think they're trying to say 4 times the resolution of HD
