I know, but it's interesting that Kino would pick up a film that Twilight Time basically couldn't give away at $10. Don't get me wrong, I think Inherit the Wind is a great film with great performances by Spencer Tracy and especially Fredric March, and I'm glad that it will be getting a wider distribution. As much as people criticize Twilight Time's limited edition model, I think their limited distribution model is hurting them more.

Kudos to Kino for bringing these films to the masses.

Do you mean the limited quantity that Olive has just decided to set for their signature editions? How much more of a wider distribution do you think Kino titles get? I yet to see any Kino titles at a Best Buy, Walmart, Target or any of the mainstream retailers. I do see them at Barnes and Nobel but never on sale. Basically, to purchase Kino titles you have to purchase them online, as you do with Twilight Time and Olive. You cannot even say the pricing is an issue because Twilight Time has had sales throughout the year at competitive pricing.

Honestly, this topic is getting way too old. I really think this needs to stop being an issue. Just appreciate what ALL the labels are doing as physical media is fading away.

You know, I don't want this to devolve into a discussion of other companies' business practices either. That has already been hashed to death in other forums. The point I really wanted to make is that I'm glad a company like Kino will be putting out these titles, and that they'll be available through on-line stores that people have actually heard of, such as Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, Walmart.com, etc.

My final thoughts and then I will leave it alone.

What difference does it make where the product is purchased from when it essentially is being purchased online regardless? We are talking about the same process. These titles are being marketed for the collectors who know that they will never be able to walk into a Best Buy and find them in a dump bin.

Also, I’m pretty sure Inherit the Wind is nearly sold out with TT. I could understand Kino picking up the option to have it in their catalog.

I just watched Witchcraft on FXM the other day. It was a fairly good movie. Shame that Kino ran into problems on this.

Great question! I've been wanting this too because of the beautiful Gene Tierney.

Brannigan, Judgment and Inherit are the last three titles previously released by TT that we have. I'm not saying we won't pickup others in the future, but at this time we have no plans of picking up others. All three of these were special circumstances.

Cool announcement, but it looks like someone got lazy in the poster production department when it came to Burt Lancaster westerns of 1971:

Love the artwork on those. I'm not familar with Maigret, but I enjoy stuff like Poirot, Midsomer Murders, and other "inspector" stuff like it, so I think I'll enjoy these too. Plus, I've enjoyed everything I've seen with Gabin.
