Now if form follows what I've seen in far too many Houston postseason games -- this could go 1 pitch of 9 more innings and nobody scores. The Atlanta/Houston extra inning games are things of legend -- Clemens getting a win in 18 inning. Tied 6-6 after 9, then 7-6 in the bottom of the 18th in 2005. 21 yo mid season callup rookie Brian McCann hit a HR in the 8th to send Atlanta up 6-1 off a LHP before the bullpen typically gave up 5 runs in the 8th and 9th. McCann caught all 18 innings that night.

Don't remind me of that game please...

Had Farnsworth in a 6-1 game... eff'ing Lance Berkman. Andruw Jones almost made an amazing jumping catch on the outfield wall that Ausmus doubled. That game was so painful.

Someone asked me years ago -- is it better to make it to the postseason and lose or be sitting at home.
The first few years (pre 2001) it was the former, but after 2001 it was just too painful to watch yet again. I enjoy watching post season baseball so much more when I'm not invested. The 2001 NLCS against Arizona with the series tied 1-1 and coming back to Atlanta, I went to games 3/4/5 and watched Arizona (Johnson and Schilling) destroy them again and it just hasn't been the same since.

2001 NLCS Game 2 I was so stoked. Damn BJ Surhoff even got a homer. Glavine pitched a clutch game. Burkett-Maddux-Glavine all followed by getting lit up.

2002 NLDS so painful. Game 3 in San Fran one of my favorite players Keith Lockhart even hit a 3-run homer. Vintage Maddux. Game 4 Glavine horrendous. Game 5 I cried so badly. We had one of the best bullpens ever in the modern era and couldn't do anything.

2003 NLDS awful. All the offense but our pitching lacked. Maddux one last time for us wasn't so successful. Kerry Wood even got a big hit in Game 5 off Hampton.

2004 NLDS, Beltran destroyed us.

2005 NLDS, ugh.

2010 NLDS, Brooks Conrad. I still am pissed for Bobby taking out Kimbrel.

2011 September... ugh....

2012 Wild Card Game. Fitting we get screwed in the first ever WC game. If we played a Bo5 series for the NLDS that year we would have won.

2013 NLDS... David Carpenter and Juan Uribe.
