$60? wow.

I just hooked up my old Sony vega 32 inch CRT in my green room and I was surprised at the clear SD picture quality it still has when hooked up directly to the wall cable line. I have a sony vcr somewhere and I was thinking of finding an original nintendo hooked up to it as well for excite bike or mario 3

I think its sad to see such an old relic go. I grew up with VHS before moving on to DVD. And with my father set to buy a full 1080p TV soon, that too will be replaced with my future BD collection. Still, I WANT THOSE RUGRATS TAPES!

I have a guy who modifies top-loader NES units for composite outputs, which hook up nicely to a home theater system...that is of course if you're not running emulators already (which I am on my main TV through my home theater PC). I use the composite-modified top-loader NES on my bedroom TV, which doesn't have a home theater PC hooked up to it (yet).

I can't live without my 8-bit old-school games! I also have SNES and N64 emulators (with proper controllers, no less!).

VHS's only redeeming quality was Dolby Surround sound. I actually used a Hi-Fi VCR as a mixdown deck in a recording studio.

There are actually new albums being released on vinyl these days. Nothing new has been released on VHS for quite some time now. Apparently all the stuff that this company sells is leftovers and overstock and now there is nothing left. I just wonder when they are going to stop making blank VHS tapes.

There's 9 different DVD/VCR combos for sale at Best Buy. Look at the prices... you could get a BD player for that.
