I don't even know what that rumored dinosaur is and it's probably better that way.

No worries, mate. That's not the spoiler. It's already been made 'official.' However, there's another yet to be reveal big bad dino in this.

Also, I'm wondering where's InGen and Dr. Wu during all of this happening?

I enjoyed Jurassic World and was looking forward to Fallen Kingdom. But with the latest teases, some set shots and having a better understanding of what the story will be, man I'm full blown excited for this one. Even that Zach King video, which could have been full on cringe, was funny.

Exactly. They escaped with all the embryos at the end of JW. There's at least a "site C" out there, if not more. And the new one is set several years later; they could have bred a LOT of dinos in that time.

That might be what the "Fallen Kingdom" is, unless I missed something (and I very well might have lol).

Save the dinosaurs?

That seems to miss the entire point of not just Jurassic Park, but Michael Crichton's entire life's work.

I see the man-made tragedy of having to destroy the dinosaurs. But folks, they gotta go. After everything that's happened, you shouldn't need Ian Malcolm to explain that to you.

I hold Bayona in the highest of esteem, so I'll withhold judgement for now.

On the contrary I love the idea of dinosaur conservation. We have spent 4 movies now with these animals treated as sideshow curiosities, man made abominations created for human entertainment. The idea of taking them away from a theme park and accepting them as a part of the natural world is fantastic.

Even John Hammond in the original film had a certain starry eyed love for them. He was a business man and a naive one at that but he still ultimately wanted visitors to wonder at these creatures. They were never just a blank cheque to him. The Hammond of the book was a different matter.

Why would you want the dinosaurs to be wiped out? That's a very grim ending! Obviously there can be a big tragedy but to want all dinos killed is missing the point too. Jurassic World has evolved from JP's initial idea that one shouldn't have brought back dinos to life.

They are now symbolic representations of Humans abusing animals for various selfish and sick reasons. Saving the dinosaurs is sending the message that the real animals in our world that are being abused, tortured, hunted and slaughtered everyday need saving as well. It's no longer the '90's sci-fi premise. The story and the theme has to evolve with the needs of our time. Otherwise it ceases to be relevant. Again, that's my thought.

If dinosaurs were actually cloned in reality, there would be all kinds of talk on the rights of these animals. Them going this direction in Fallen Kingdom is not surprising.

Didn’t they already do this “save the dinosaurs!” angle in the second film?

Sorry gang.

Those creatures don't belong here. They never have and they never will. We (people) have caused nothing but pain, suffering and death - of the dinos and ourselves - by bring them back. We never should have done it in the first place (something every admirable and rational character involved in these books and films has stated multiple times) and they should not be allowed to exist now at expense of the rest of the current 'natural world.'

We were not supposed to, and will not be able to, co-exist with them. What movies have you guys been watching?

I'm sure there will be characters in the movie that share your opinion.

Yes. But the whole point of that story (JP1 in particular - but it was the point of all of them to date) is that we recreated this lost world at the expense of our own. Humans are not equipped to live in a world where we are several rungs down on the food chain. Getting eaten alive is not something I want to add to my already complicated life.

This is not some radical idea. Malcolm says it. Grant says it. Ellie says it. It was what Crichton was getting at when he wrote the story: By playing god with forces more powerful than your own, you bring about your own demise.

I'm doing the books and the films the courtesy of taking their ideas somewhat seriously here. The monsters in the JP series are both literal and metaphorical and in both cases they are here to destroy us. They can't be contained on an island and they can't be let lose in the world. They never should have been brought back in the first place.

Again, without being hyperbolic, I think it's weird I even have to say that.
