I have a 60GB that I bought in dec.06. What is this loud fan issue I keep hearing about? I. Watch dvd.blu ray, and play all 3 systems of games on the PS3 and do not hear the fan. I have mine standing up with no air flow restrictions. I mean if I turn off all the sounds on the TV and make sure no appliance are running and I am right next to my PS3 then yes.I can hear it but it sounds more like the disk drive spinning. My roomate has a 40gb that is on for hours and he too never hears the fan. We both can feel heat being blown out of the system so I know the fan is on. The way some people explain how loud and annoying it is if I hears it on mine I would think there was a major issue. Out of 10 friends, 3 complain of the fan(1 60 and 2 40)
