Mutt was near N. Korea when they were testing missiles but there weren't any refrigerators anywhere.

Well, he was able to make it through out three Transformers movies, so North Korea should be sweat.

I think Spielberg is still a great filmmaker, but the days when he had that wide-eyed, childlike wonder seem so long ago now. He can make great adult dramas like Bridge Of Spies or Munich or War Horse, but he's past his prime as a creator of terrific white-knuckle thrill rides.
I wish I didn't agree with you, but I do.

I've never been a big fan of LeBeouf's work; he always seemed to play the same type of weasel character, with some kind of chip on his shoulder. The first Transformers was tolerable, but Sam came off very idiotic; I've skipped all the sequels so far. Shia's minor role in I, Robot was a little funny, but his presence was thankfully brief. I don't think I've seen a single episode of Even Stevens, either. Mutt Williams had a little more depth by comparison, but Shia's performance still came off like an ambulance chaser or something; mostly clueless and ten steps behind.

When Mutt was about to put on the fedora, Indy grabbed it off his hand. So they never intended for Harrison Ford to quit yet.

UPDATE: The Hollywood Reporter reveals that while casting is underway for West Side Story, it’s only because “the project is contingent on finding the right cast.”Apparently before making The Post, Spielberg had wanted to direct the period drama The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara, but finding the right actor to play the young Jewish boy who was taken away from his parents and raised Catholic in 1850s Italy proved to be a challenge and he ran out of time to make it happen. Spielberg doesn’t want that to happen with West Side Story.

So Spielberg will make Indiana Jones 5 first in 2019 with the intention of hitting that aforementioned 2020 release date. They also note there’s a chance he might do something small between now and the next Indiana Jones sequel, but that remains to be seen.

I guess it's possible he could do something on the scale of The Post if he has the right script. Wasn't there something smaller scale he was wanting to do with Jennifer Lawrence a year or so ago?

Yes, considering how long it was from Last Crusade in 1989 to Crystal Skull in 2008, everyone was expecting something great, as we kept hearing they were waiting for the right script and story. Then what we got was so far from a masterpiece, that I really wonder what the hold up was. And I can’t help feeling it’s kinda happening again.

As much as I’m very excited for this, Harrison will be 76 turning 77 when they film it, and I’m praying they don’t just go for a lighter comedy vibe, like Crusade, due to his age. I’d like one last hard edged film, like the first 2, to go out on a high. I should say that I do still love Crusade, and I enjoy Skull mostly, but the first 2 are the best IMO.

I wonder if Lucas will ever come out of retirement to direct again? I’m not jumping up and down for him to direct this, but after the mess of KOTCS, I kind of wonder what’d happen with a different hand behind the camera.

All of the complaints I've ever read about KotCS have to do with plot, characters and CGI. Never read any complaints about Spielberg's direction. Besides, not sure why Lucas would be an improvement. He's not a greater director than Spielberg.

I suppose not. But I would like to see him take a crack at directing something other than Star Wars again before he shuffles off this mortal coil.
