I’m avoiding all trailers, drawing the line at images etc.. that way my anticipation will be through the roof. Trailers show too much these days. I like to be going in as fresh as possible.

I'm so excited! Halloween is my favourite time of year and Halloween (1978) is my favourite movie so this year in particular is gonna be excruciatingly slow going

Also, a few months ago when it was first announced that Jamie Lee Curtis was returning I predicted that the plot would essentially be:

After the death of her Husband, Laurie Strode decides to move back to Haddonfield after decades away to be closer to her Daughter and Grandkids. Upon her return we see the return of the Shape as well and we see him stalking Laurie's Grandaughter on Halloween. Laurie would fulfil the Loomis role and eventually sacrifice herself to save her Grandaughter at the end.

With everything that has come out from the movie so far it looks like I might be right on the money.

Michael Myers spotted on set:

Super blurry, but he's there. Also, sorry but I have no clue how to just link the pictures so they show up right here.

Can't wait to get a teaser trailer for this flick, in my top 5 of most anticipated films of this year!

I hope there's not another Laurie sacrifice. I'd rather see her finally get the peace she deserves. Let her just defeat Michael once and for all, and finally be able to close the door on her past.

LAST WARNING
[Show spoiler]
Quote:
After talking with various onlookers and a few folks from the production team, I learned that there was a male death being shot in "Laurie's" backyard (the stone house in the pictures). As a note - "Laurie's" house is the only one on the block with no Halloween decorations, so that might make sense given her history. Allyson witnesses the death, screams, and begins running down the street, a la Laurie's chase scene in H1. The production guy I talked to said the chase was shot using a Steadicam and was "the" shot everyone would be talking about. Also, a murder had been filmed the night before on a porch, and the Lowe's bucket in the picture below was cleaning up from the murder.

Okay, I'm going to take a stab at what I think is going to happen in this film. Just for fun. So before you go crazy, just know this is all just speculation:

The beginning will open with the final scene from Halloween where Dr. Loomis shoots Michael (6 times) off the balcony. "What's the Boogeyman?" "As a matter of fact, it was." He looks outside and Michael is gone.

We cut to present day, Laurie wakes up from a nightmare. She's never really shaken off the events of that night.

That morning, she looks through her photo album and looks at pictures of her friends she lost and we see cutouts of newspaper articles about the Halloween Massacre in '78. The camera will zoom in on the last article that says "Michael Myers caught".

Cut to scene of Laurie's daughter and grand daughter at home and her grand daughter gets ready for school.

We follow Laurie's grand daughter through her day at school and interacting with her friends. They talk about the Halloween Dance that's coming up...etc.

Yada yada yada.... Fill the rest with character development and stuff like that.

We will get a scene of Smith's Grove Sanitarium where Michael Myers has been held for the last 40 years.

Now this is the part where I think they will borrow ideas from the "Halloween Returns" script.

They will attempt to move Michael to another location or something of that nature. A guard will screw up (possibly a new guy) and allow him to escape.

(We'll probably get a bunch of creepy scenes of Michael stalking the family, hiding behind trees, in the shadows...etc)

When Laurie finds out, she tries to warn her family to stay home and tries to get protection from the police because she's convinced that Michael will go after her and her family. She saw it in her dreams...etc.

(They might not acknowledge Laurie and Michael as siblings in this film.)

No one will believe her and tell her that he has no reason to go after them. But Laurie will keep saying how she knows he wants to finish what he started 40 years ago.

Of course she will end up being right, as Michael shows up during the Halloween dance and kills off some teens...etc. He goes after Laurie's grand daughter (possibly not knowing who she is)

Laurie will come to save the day in the end and find a way to kill off Michael.

That's pretty Much how I see things playing out. Of course there's lots more to throw in there for the story and all that. But you get the gist.

I know it sounds a lot like H20 in a way, but given everything we know so far about the film that's what I came up with.

I will most likely be wrong about everything, but its fun to speculate.
