Go with the M4000. You won't be disappointed. I own the "N" model, which is an "M" TV, with built in 3.1 on the TV, and two surround speakers.

Looks outstanding after manual calibration.

The "M" has "ACE" 'advanced contrast ratio', and the BE2 'Bravia Engine 2', while the "L" does not include these features.
