Considering it's been a year since I made those comments I'm sad to say that it looks unlikely that they have the US license. With Arrow having released the film in the UK in 2016, it appeared likely to me at the time that a US release was possible in 2017 since the Shout license had expired. Sadly that never happened and now that we're nearing the half way point of 2018 it seems very much unlikely that they were able to secure US distribution rights.

I would hope so... It was made 7 years after the Shout Factory release.

If anyone is interested I just put a pre-owned copy of Audition (like New, all pieces in perfect condition) up on eBay for 50 bucks plus a nominal shipping charge.

And if anyone on here is daft enough to pay $50 for the US Scream Factory Blu-ray, send me a message and I'll sell you mine for considerably less than that!

They're being listed at more than that but I don't see any actually being bought! In fact as I type right now there's an auction for one with less than an hour left with no bids because the starting price is $40. It seems even ebay users are not THAT stupid!

Yeah, I'm really hoping Arrow releases this in the U.S. at some point. Haven't bought this on blu-ray yet.

I have been holding off for a good Blu-Ray release for once. I would imagine Arrow would announced a US release by now unless Well Go USA got the rights to it.

I find it completely bass-akwards that some ppl are still on a mad hunt for the OOP $$$ Shout release, yet the Arrow UK Blu is far cheaper to get and completely smokes it in circles. Unless you're region locked and too naive to explore region free options, or must have the English dub (said to be the LPCM 2.0 track), I see no other reason to get the superior and cheaper Arrow UK release.

Now, you want a title that's almost impossible to find, legally, at a reasonable price?? The Olive Films BD of Ticks... was available for less than two years then went OOP due to rights issues, and are now supposedly in limbo due to Millennium Entertainment's demise and it's said that Shout Factory/Westchester Films doesn't have it and don't know who owns it now.

Doesn't Paramount own it or is that probably it because between First Look/Millennium (or whoever owns it now) and Paramount, we don't know who officially owns it?

The Olive release went out of print because Paramount's distribution rights (inherited from the Republic/Spelling purchase through Viacom, who released it on video) expired and had supposedly went back to Overseas Filmgroup successor Millennium Entertainment. Millennium became Alchemy in 2015 and shortly afterwards encountered financial problems which lead to their closer. Various companies had purchased drips and drabs of their massive back catalog, and Shout/Westchester films (who got Shock to the System from one of the auctions and supposedly fully own it) mentioned somewhere in one of their podcasts that they don't have Ticks and are unsure of who currently owns it. I had asked MVDRewindGuy about it's status (he mentioned he worked at Olive Films around the time they released it and it completely passed by him) and he said he'll look into it when he goes to some film auction festival later this year, so we'll see.

Back on topic, just get the Arrow Audition BD and don't blow stupid cash on a overpriced, inferior older one.
