Even that one shouldn’t have been made, but I do have fun with it.
Harrison is forever Indy and since all those involved are long in the tooth I’d just let it go. There’s really no one with Harrison’s charm and presence in Hollywood right now to fit the role. Pratt was the closest but he has an ugly attitude lately. So meh. Just let Indiana go. |

I have a lot of issues with the 4th movie, but interestingly enough, one of my favorite parts of the movie is one of the aspects most often complained about - the "Nuke the fridge" scene.
That to me felt very much like an Indiana Jones moment. Afterall, this is a guy whose whip perfectly grabs onto things for him to swing across things and loosens up perfectly almost every time, as if that is remotely realistic. So I thought that was right in line with that sort of thing. I just felt that the alien plot line was wrong for Indy, especially the direction that it took. |

It was already weird seeing someone else play Han Solo. And while that movie was actually otherwise pretty good IMO, the recasting is something that I have a hard time getting past. It just would have been better off not being made. |

Crystal Skull provided a good ending to the character. Besides, it's not like they can't create an Indiana Jones-style adventure with a new IP, if that's what they really want. Heck, they did it with The Mummy 20 years ago, and it was quite good.
These forced attempts by the industry to keep IPs alive at the expense of everything to the point where they are recognized in name only is just sad. |

I think the movie's idea was from the "lavish stories" which came from out of the 1940's from people...which is roughly close to time Temple of Doom takes place (1935) GOOGLE...it's not just for porn.... ![]() |

Thats the beauty of telling a fictional story...you can take elements from here and there & still create an illusion of believability or realism. (however disgusting &/or factually incorrect it may be)

I'm very interested in Indy 5. Crystal Skull was not a great film for various reasons, but Ford's age had little to do with it, IMO.
A movie about old-man Indy going on a last adventure could be really awesome though. |

Most interesting thing is the article states Koepp's script was thrown out entirely, rather than being revised by Kasdan. I'd rather they have written it together. |
