Comcast HD TV?

We use to have comcast but they sold us to another provider...

I didn't know providers could sell there customers... I feel so dirty so very dirty..

Dish or direcTV? Between these two, who is better?

I can get both were I live. So I am just looking for the BEST

From the reports I've read and from my neighbors that have Dish set-ups, I think DirecTV might be the better set-up for reliability.
Dish used to require you to use two dishes, one pointed to the east and one to the south...don't know if that is still required or not but the angles looked steep and seemed to be more prone to interference over a wider area compared to DirecTV which has a few satellites spread out but one dish pointed to the south seems to get all the signals.

I had a few issues when I had Directv with rain fade (during strong t-storms or heavy snow fall) but overall, service was very acceptable and outages rarely lasted too long...

Yup, right now I have two dishes on the roof. 1 for the regular TV and 1 for the HD TV, and 1 for the internet... I live out in the middle of no were.

When it is raining all I have is a blue screen, cause it will lose it signal. But it is never more than an 30 min.

How about internet? I am looking into a Travel Trailer and live in it full time, doing the math it may end up being cheaper or similar in price renting an Apartment. At least I would own the travel trailer and some are mighty nice. I was looking at the mobile satellite internet, sadly they cost $5,000. But I can have them finance it into the Travel Trailer... Just an idea and not for sure, need to look into renting one for a week or two. See if I could live in one.

What about getting an air card for a laptop and use that from your cell company? They browse at 3G which is pretty good and cost like $50 or $60 a month I think, depending on what you use.

As for which is better, Dish or Directv, I have friends who have both and they all say Directv is better, more reliable and offers a lot more, even the ones who have the Dish.

For months I wanted to go with Direct TV but because I live with my parents they forbid me from having a dish sitting anywhere in their yard or on top of the house! I cant stand Comcast but I have to live with it until I get my own place hopefully this summer. Comcast is overpriced and to me their HD line up SUCKS! Go with Dish Network.
