Yeah the 3D in this is very good, mild in the real world scenes and much stronger in the Oasis scenes. Definitely a very good conversion.

4k 3D french combo arrived today. Lovely package high quality with the blu ray disc underneath a protective piece of plastic so it never gets in contact with the 3D disc on top of it.

But which to watch first?

What self-control? You think if I had self-control I'd be here in this mess. Nope. I wasn't born with self-control. That's a luxury that just I don't have.

Hey everyone. I have the Target exclusive. Watched it tonight and I have an audio sync issue. The audio was about a half second before the video. I had it in Atmos so switched to the DTS mix, and problem was gone. Tried the Bluray and Vudu UHD and both were synced fine. Tested a few other 4K's I have and the audio was perfectly synced. I am using an LG UBK90. All firmware is up to date.

Since everything else I tested was normal and this is the first time this has ever happened with anything, I am thinking it may just be something funky with the 4K disc.

Anyone else encounter this on this disc or any other 4K disc for that matter? If so did you just exchange it or have another fix?

Thanx

Doubt it's the disc, or everyone else would be having the same issue. There isn't just a few bad ones out of a pressing unless the whole batch is bad.

Sync issues are almost always decoding errors in the setup, because when you encode a disc, the audio and video are separate files. It's the processors that sync them up, so sounds like something in your system.

Just received a Target 4K disc from a seller here. No issues on my OPPO 203 to LG C7.Looks and sounds fantastic.DV is great. I have been messing with upscaling the blu ray and as good as I thought it was, the 4K is much better. The biggest difference is being able to zoom and change ratios on the BD whereas only WS with the 4K because of the DV encoding. This is a real treat for the eyes. I no longer have a surround system so I cannot say how the audio is. It does come across great on the C7 which is Atmos capable...

Rented this from redbox yesterday and the disk must have been damaged or something. It kept freezing at the same 50 minute mark every single time I tried playing it from that scene. Tried cleaning the disk, resetting my player... to no luck! Which is a bummer because I was really into the movie up until that point:/

I would think if it is something in my setup, then other discs and/or digital would have the same issue, but not one has ever had a problem. Thanx for the input tho. I would hate to change a setting to get this to work as I would fear, it would throw everything else out of whack. I will try cleaning the disc and see if that makes a difference as I did read somewhere that there is sometimes a thin coating on discs from the mfr. I dunno, grasping for straws at this point. Not sure Target exchanges discs after they are opened, never tried.

You probably already watched, but I watched 3d first then 4k. I thought each really brought a lot to the table. Really dig the 3d, but then the DV on the 4k really made things pop.

Now just not sure which version to show other people first!

Did anyone else get the 4K Target exclusive and not get the bonus DVD disc?

I was thinking maybe the exclusive content was on the digital version, but it looks like it's on a DVD that I'm missing. I just opened my 4K version (with the "Exclusive" sticker and 3D lenticular), but I only have 2 discs inside, a BD and 4k.

I'm fearing somebody swapped the slipcover or something funky at the store. It was the last one on the shelf.

The discs are stacked. Did you take them all out and check?

Made myself finish the book before I watched this. It's been tough staring at the 4k copy.

Only a half hour in but the PQ is stunning and the audio is easily one of the best I have. The intro fly through the OASIS and first race attempt are reference for picture and audio respectively.

Final;ly get around to watch the 4k. Completely amazing. Am I crazy to think this is a better movie than infinity war?

Yes, and I'm not even a massive Marvel fan.

I wouldn't say crazy at all. If anyone's the crazy around it would be me, as I happen to think Deadpool 2 and potentially Black Panther are better than Infinity War. I've only seen Ready Player One once (I have it at home waiting to watched) so I can't say about that one with confidence, but I think you might be right about it being better. It's Steven Speilberg for crying out loud. I will freely admit that Steven Speilberg can be rather hit or miss as a director and has plenty of stinkers in his collection, but the man didn't earn his reputation making Madea movies. What that man knows in his little pinky the Russo brothers could take lifetimes to learn. I like Infinity War a lot, but that movie's got a lot of flaws. More than it should have.

The Winter Soldier is better than any Spielberg movie released since Munich, and a lot of people didn't even like Munich like I did. The Russos are very good directors and while Ready Player One feels like a clusterf**k Infinity War handles over-the-top action and 20 main characters with a deft hand. There's no comparison IMO.

On any given night I'd probably rather pop in Ready Player One just to relax and watch a fun flick. But I still think Infinity War is the better movie and a more singular accomplishment.

Munich wins hands down for me when paired with Winter Soldier, which is my favorite Marvel movie so far. I haven't seen Infinity War yet (I have the 4K at home), but I'm starting to get superhero fatigue. I'm hoping IW will change that.

Kinda random, but I was wondering if anybody has spotted the Big Daddy from BioShock that's allegedly in the final battle? I've seen claims on multiple sites and in multiple videos that's he's there but nobody seems to have any proof, like images or timecodes and I can't find it anywhere. Could this be someone saying that they saw a Big Daddy and people just piggy backing and agreeing or can anyone actually confirm this?
