Blu-ray has made a movie fan out of me!

Being a front pj owner for over 20 years, I've always been compelled to seek out the highest source playback device available, which in the beginning, was the Laserdisc format, argueably the 'father of hidef'. Besides offering the pinnacle of resolution at the time, the most exciting aspect of those shiny 12" discs for me was the advent of widescreen (letterboxed) content! I remember my early letter-writing campaigns to the studios to push for more LD titles in their OAR, as well as the inclusion of that title's original movie trailer -- features we've taken for granted since the days of dvd. Therefore, I've been a movie collector before many of this site's members were born. The BD format is thus just another logical step in the evolution of H/T....i.e., I'm luvin' it
