That's why i'm not buying it just yet. You can buy in online for a resonable price but I want to make sure that each movies has there own seprate case and not just one big one.

they all have seperate cases. If you're like me, you abhor Spider Man 3, and you really only want the first two. My advice is go to MovieStop (if there's one near you) and see if anyone has traded in the Spider-Man movies individually. I picked up the first two movies used for 16.99 apiece. Perfect condition and packaging. And I didnt have to clutter my collection with that wretched third movie.

I'm not like you, I enjoyed Spider Man 3 -- don't really understand the hate for it, and don't care.

The reason I would pause before buying this set is the absolute lack of any special features for films 1 and 2. As an owner of the 3-disc version on film 1, and the 2 disc version of film 2 with the extra 2 discs for the altnernate cut of the film with even more bonus crap...I couldn't believe both films were bare bones on Blu-Ray.

So buyer beware -- these are coming out again, probably sooner rather than later, with the bonus features included (plus more goodies, I'm certain). If all you want are the films, buy away. If you want something more substantial, you're going to have to wait.

The trilogy looks amazing! I was randomly at Fry's in Sacramento and found it on sale for $30. I had to pick it up! This was a while ago..

That is the exact reason why I am waiting. This is probably my favorite modern trilogy besides Bourne and I want to be as complete as possible. They'll release it again eventually.

Any news yet of an individual release for Spider-Man 1 & 2? When the trilogy came out I assumed the individual releases with bonus material would be coming before long and only bought Spidey 3. Now it's been almost 2 years and still no sign of them? At this rate I should have picked up the trilogy when I saw it for $40.

It's definitely worth investing in this set, especially if you're a fan of the movies. The Spider-Man 3 included in this set is a 2-disc edition (whereas the seperate release was a 1-disc edition), with the second disc containing extras.

I had the 3rd movie for free with my PS3 but still this set was the first BD I purchased. Dropped 10.000 Yen to get this Japanese box set, which has better covers & a great box compared to the US edition, I think.

If you do a search on the forums, you can find other threads about this set, with lots of pictures.

With Spider-man4 in the works,I won't hold my breath for these to be release anytime soon. Most likely they will try to get people to double dip once the fourth one is near a release date.

It's funny these are "catalog" titles now, this set is pretty void of extras, save for the 2 discs of Spidey 3,this set is still so damn expensive($49.99) ,I mean here is an example,"The Star Trek Trilogy" is available as low as $29.99 and has 3 great films and lots of nice extras on each disc! Just my opinion, but i'm sure some will agree!

If you can see a picture of it before you buy it online, I believe the single case version has a silver curve on the bottom of the slipcover that syas hi-definition or something and the copies with three individual cases do not.

I already have the Trilogy sold for $30....I like it and all, but when it comes right down to it...I'm not that big a fan of the movies...

I like X-Men and X-Men: United more even though I thought that the problems started with United despite still being a very good comic-film...

if you like the Spider-man Trilogy...the PQ/AQ is outstanding all three...I'm just not that big a fan...

I actually wish that I'd found the version in one larger case rather than the 3 seperate ones, but that's just me.

If you order it online you're going to risk getting a pretty ****ed up box cover..

I had to send mine back to Amazon for the refund. That's how ruined it was.
