Canada Customs should leave you alone if you just order the one title.
I think Twilight Time just holds the rights for a one-time pressing of 3,000 copies. Not sure how that works out in terms of time they hold the rights for.

Generally, Twilight Time has exclusive North American rights to the movies they release for a period of three years.

Really need to get Rapid Fire for my action collection but man, that's a tough one to shell out $35 for. Hope it lasts to a sale.

I'm hoping for the same. I'm ordering when either a sale or a low quantity alert hits, whichever comes first.

Had to order Rapid Fire and Gloria I'm sure there'll probably be a sale sometime but can't take the chance of it selling out.

Ordered Rapid Fire but also HAD to get Genghis Khan...
Hokey as hell but absolutely loved it in the cinema when I was a boy (as I did all the sword & sandal fliks) and bought a Chinese bootleg first chance I got!

You know of all the MGM films that TT didn't have the chance to release...I'm surprised this wasn't one

There's always someone left who doesn't know the MGM catalogue no longer belongs to MGM.

It was released by UA. You must be fun at parties.

Dailyan: "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side!"

Aclea, Oildude, etc: *Chuckles*

Bigbadwoppet: "That would never happen, chickens do not have the mental capacity to make conscious decisions to cross roads."

Speaking of which... is there a guide to what studio catalogs have been subsumed by other studios anywhere?

Your best bet is to just look up the distributor/production companies wiki page. It doesn't sound like much but that's the only thing I can think of instead of a dedicated website or thread.

Yeah, I've resorted to that often, but I find myself forgetting what I found out, and you sometimes have to dig into the written history to find what from when is where. It'd be nice to have just a list somewhere of e.g. "MGM Pre-1986 --> Warner; Paramount pre-1940 --> Universal"

Nope, it was released by MGM/UA (UA was bought by MGM in 1982). The production company (Twilight Time Ltd) had joint copyright and the fact that MGM never released this title on dvd it means they no longer hold the rights to it.

The Seven-Ups for $15 you say?! Well that didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Just another movie on that list to pair it with...I'm leaning towards Interiors, an Allen I still haven't seen.
