I wouldn't make that comparison as I already explained.
And what a way certain people are being dismissive of others who don't want to buy UHD yet. It absolutely has nothing to do with feeling "left behind" or "acting like there's no difference." People like me genuinely feel the cost is not worth it yet vs what they already have. Bluray still being a relevant format with regards to picture quality helps with this. No matter how many times you want to compare the situation with DVD it's just not the same. I can run out right now and go buy a 4K OLED. I don't have any other expenses like kids or a SO to worry about. I seriously do not feel like it at moment. The picture on my TV more than satisfies me. That wasn't the case with DVD. With my lowly 4:3 27" SD TV. You're gonna make that comparison? Really? So until then we are going to keep asking for newly mastered blurays. There's nothing wrong with that.
