The movie is a combination of daylight and night-time exteriors as well as interiors that look completely different from each other. It's already x% of something and y% of something completely different or not consistent with each other.

I know it's your point that you believe that Ron Howard could not change anything that Bradford had already shot or planned but that's not necessarily true and not support or upheld with anything that Howard has said or what's possible. Your theory doesn't need explanation. It needs proof in order for everyone to accept it.

If the look was so impermissible or egregious as people are making out, I'm pretty sure that Howard would have had sufficient druthers to insist that he got a 70% good looking movie than choosing to 100% embrace the DP's wrong choices.
