Default ps3 problem

I have a 60 gig PS3 outputing through component cables.
The problem im having is that everytime the screen goes white i lose picture/audio signal while in 720 or higher resolutions (while Gaming or blue ray or upscaled dvd's) for the duration of the white sequence.

if i knock thr output down to the 480 prob goes away.

my brother also has a ps3 60 gig and has the same problem while viewing through component

i have tried with several different TV's to the same effect. (Including one samsung one sharp one panasonic and two different sony's)
also tried a couple brands of component cables

any
suggestions

and please dont say hdmi as my hdmi inputs are in use and id prefer to go component

I'm not a technical expert, but there are two types of tv component inputs.
The first type is for standard definition media such as dvd players. The second type is for high definition media such as cable boxes or blu-ray players such as the PS3. I suspect you are using the standard def component input. Maybe your tv doesn't have hi def component.

Also, you should check your tv for what resolutions it accepts through its component inputs. Mine only accepts 480i, 480p, and 1080i through the hi def input. That may be your problem. Your tv cannot handle 720p through component. I have my PS3 ouput resolutions set to 480p and 1080i.

yikes... you should have kept that to yourself. lol

anyway, logan, i'm betying it's your TV.
if not, double check your settings, like RGB and super whites and make sure they are what is appropriate for your display.
