That's a very ignorant statement. Many people watch movies on the PSP. And it does not have too small of a screen. It's in fact bigger then the Ipod Touch's screen. And people watch digital copies on there. Touchscreen is overrated. You get dirty fingerprints on there. And it's not too big. The PSP 1000 is too big, but the PSP 3000 is slim and is a decent size.

that in case may be a reason to get the ipod as the digital copies will not playback on a PSP

Yeah, but digital copies take up too much space on the Ipod Touch. I had one, and if he gets the 8GB he'll run out of room real fast.

Differing opinions are fine, but don't make statements like that when people do in fact watch movies on the PSP.

You said movies are too small for the PSP and that you should only get it if you are into gaming. That's not true. People watch movies on there. Hence an ignorant statement. Why do you think there are UMD movies?

disagree with me suggesting the touch all you want, but the fact remains..i have an opinion and that opinion is that both screens are too small to watch movies on.

move along

Well, the UMD manufacturers would disagree with you.

They're both meant to be used on the go, so having a small screen is better than none at all.

PSP, it's a better mp3 player. Interface isn't great, but if all you do is playlists on random (like myself) then it's fine. The sound quality is much better on a PSP than on any iPod, well it was for the PSP Phat, but I can't see Sony downgrading the sound quality...

i agree with max here. i have a launch psp fat. (i've never wanted to buy a new one with such few upgrades.) but i have this: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...hlight=stootsi
and it is amazing sound and fits the fat psp perfect. but you can also plug in ipods and other psps as well they plug in through a aux cable and still they sound awesome.

i think the psp would be a better choice as you have far more things it can do. but still get an ipod touch as well.

In my experience, phat US launch PSP sounds terrible when compared to a 1st gen ipod touch. I rip music usually at 256 or 320 and a have a good pair of earbuds and headphones.

I sold my PSP and games for an ipod touch since I listen to music more on the go than play games. Plus the ipod touch's battery life is alot longer than my PSP ever was. Less clunky too. I do like the feel of new PSP 3000 though.

I have an 8GB iphone and i have 3 digital copy movies, and about 1.5GB's worth of music on it and still have 1.7GB left on it. I mean it all depends on how much you think you're going to use either. I'm not really a huge fan of the ipod touch, I'd much rather have an ipod classic. More space for your money. I had this opinion before I owned an iphone, before anyone decides to point that out

orginally, the ipod touch was supposed to be 120GB when it was first rumored. i was really disapointed when i found out the biggest size at launch would be 16 and the price point was 399.

Agreed. The classic holds more. I use that for music and the PSP for movies on the go.

No doubt! the IPod touch has been a big disappointment to me because they never increased the memory beyond 32 GB. small when you compare it to the classic which has 120 GB of storage. Nearly 4 times the space for less money.

although watching video on the IPod classic is way to small

IA. I use my PSP primarily to view movies. In fact, I would say 90% of its usage comes from movie watching
