if you are upscaling to 1080p, then feeding a 768p screen you are running the signal through 2 sclaing operations= up to 1080p and then your screen knocks it back to 768p and will degrade the picture. if you want to upscale you must feed the screen as close to it's native resolution (768) as possible, because your screen will always display its native resolution.
