oh the one that your trading in? no not at all. i myself have dealt with plenty of customers that come in to trade in their movies which have the ring and i dont give them any problems. long as the disc in is good condition thats all the staff generally tend to concern themselves with.

If only you worked in one of the Victoria locations. I imagine you'd be a pretty popular person. Any luck with checking on the price of I Am Legend?

i believe working in retail, our first job should be customer service. making the person happy (as long as their requests are within reason) bcuz then they'll leave satisfied and be more likely to come back. unfortunatly, i know not everybody shares the same approach to this subject as myself, as i've come across more than a few managers working here in the toronto that are more concerned with sticking to policy than helping out customers. oh and yes, i checked it last night before the store closed. it rang up as $34.99 in the system. sorry for my earlier misquote.

No worries. I did end up going back and trading in Superman Returns. Sure enough it was priced wrong at $19.99 so they had to honor it. The clerk also didn't know about the trade in program and was only going to give me $2 for my original DVD. Fortunately a manager was there, and showed her the rack of BD's that were part of this, showed her the literature from the binder etc etc...

She also didn't know how to ring it all in. Again fortunately, the manager or supervisor was there and showed her how to do it. She thanked me for being patient as I was there for roughly 15 minutes while she sorted this all out. I told her me getting angry or impatient doesn't make her want to get the work done any quicker In the end, all is good. Too bad other movies weren't labelled wrong.

On another note, turns out that WalMart has 300 for $19.99 on BD. Not a bad deal. So I could get that, still trade in 300 and get a $2 credit and the movie would have been $17.99 to upgrade to BD. Not a great deal, but better than nothing.
